You would think with three and a half years between them there wouldn't be anything to fight about, but there's plenty! They fight over everything in the world, toys, clothes, spots on the couch--its unreal to me! They even fight over the wii, we have dealt with that by letting Carlos pretend to play. I didn't think I would deal with these things until much later.
Carlos is the instigator, he just cant' stop himself. He sees Julian sitting happily somewhere and must have THAT spot. No other spot will do. He will do whatever it takes to get it, he will start by pushing his way into the spot, Julian usually gives in at this point and sits somewhere else. Thirty seconds pass and Carlos decides Julian's NEW spot is the one he wants, so he will go and fight for it. If Julian doesn't willingly give it up then he resorts to plan B. He turns the TV off which makes Julian get up to get the remote or turn the TV back on at which time Carlos makes a run for the NEW spot. Julian usually isn't bothered by this, except for the fact he missed a little something on TV and goes back to his OLD spot. But again, the little one must have THAT spot. Stinker! This can go on all day, I often get in the middle and redirect Carlos but that only lasts a moment or two and he is back to tormenting his brother.
Carlos also digs through Julian's clothes and finds what he wants to wear. Yes, they are all oversized and look ridiculous on him but we just induldge him. Once in a while though Julian will get ticked cause something was spilled on his 'favorite' (for the moment to make an argument) shirt OR he was saving 'that shirt' to wear tomorrow. Then the tug of war starts. Its unreal to me, this little boy, not even 18 months old usually wins.

They are so funny. E & M fight just like that. I thought they would fight when they got older. I had no idea it would start this soon. Glad your boys can at least hug and make up. :)
