Julian Rides....

On Tuesday, Julian asked me if I could remove the training wheels from his old bike. The one he can touch his feet on the ground with. His new bike is a little big but works for him with training wheels. So, I did. Tuesday he spent and hour staring at his feet and trying to get them on the pedals. Wednesday he spent and hour and a half trying, and trying again. He has a determination to get things done. Thursday when I took them out to play he again, gave up his play time, and spent a lot of time trying to perfect his balance and get his feet moving in sync. Friday I dropped him and his bike (and helmet) off at my grandma's house. I have no idea he spent trying there but on Saturday when I went to my brother's house (J's bike was at nana's close by and spent the night there) J was riding pretty well. But today, TODAY, he took off, he was gone .. he got it! Less than a week and he is off and running, er riding .. here he is returning home from down the block. I'm very proud.
