Happy Birthday, Robert

I miss you. We all miss you. Days like this are never easy. Most days aren't easy anyway. You're never far from our thoughts. Even Carlos. He never met you but points to your pictures and tells us your name and that you are his brother. We haven't drilled this in his head, he just knows.

The boys, they remind me of you in many ways. Sometimes its hard to hold back the tears when they are reminding me of you. The way Julian talks, the way he can do anything he puts his mind to, some of the looks he gives. He remindds me of you.

Carlos, well he might be you re-incarnated. Seriously. The balance and sports skills he is displaying at such a young age, his sense of humor. He could be you. That's hard sometimes. But its comforting too.
