Nice Day :)

After all our excitement yesterday we decided to have a nice family day today. We started our day off by going to Julian's basketball game, where Carlos was named M.V.P. of the team. It was cute, he got a certificate and everything. Julian got his medal and an award. He was thrilled. I think the coaches feel sorry for Carlos cause he REALLY wants to play and has to wait for so very long. So just like the rest of the team Carlos sat at the table with his award and had his snack.
After the game we went to visit my grandma. She is doing well today. She looked tired and was getting ready to eat so we kept the visit short. It was nice to see her feeling well today though.
Then we went home for a bit before heading out to the Southcenter Mall. Its a really big mall, fun to shop and walk around in. They also have a Rainforest Cafe where we decided to have a late lunch/early dinner. We got their Safari Club Membership a long time ago, today it was so wonderful to have. Julian had the card, I walked up and put in my name, they said it was a 40 minute wait. I got the card from Julian and showed them and we were seated immediately. The original cost of the club was $15, then they sent us a $10 gift certificate with our membership card. Total cost, $5, well worth it in my opinion! We sat between an aquarium and the gorillas. The boys kept going to look at the aquarium, Carlos loves fish so much. Not more than cars or dogs, but they rank in the top 10 things he likes. LOL

After lunch we walked around the mall. We ran into someone I just knew Stephanie ( A Close Knit Family) would like to have a picture of. I was waiting for my turn to take a picture when Julian volunteered to be in the picture. I never saw this coming --this is totally NOT his style. But he said that he would do it for my friend. What a kid!

After meeting Hello Kitty we went to the family bathroom, which is now an impressive family lounge. I wish everywhere had a place like this. There are tiny mother's rooms with a chair and a flat screen TV on an arm mounted to the wall so you can your child can watch TV while you nurse. They have curtains on this room. Then there is a large bathroom that has big and small toilets and sinks. There is a 'living room' area with couch, chairs and tables with toys on them. There is also a large TV for the kids to watch. Counters with changing tables and a microwave. Everything you could need for a little down time with your kid. It was impressive. My kids enjoyed it there.

Next we went to the play area where they got to run around, be creative and use their imagination. They have a very fun and imaginitive play area.

All this was too much for a mommy to handle any longer. It was time to go. Just in time it seems ....
