His game is improving. His concentration expanding.
He loves soccer.
It shows.
This season, his fourth season, at just over 6 years old
he's become incredible.
He knows the feeling of pride and accomplishment
when he scores a goal or blocks one.
He loves playing goalie, even if that does mean a ball flying at his face.
A year go, that wouldn't have happened.
He's grown. He's matured.
He's gained a love for soccer, for team work, for competition,
and for the YMCA.
And ....
He's scored.
Leaving the other kid, the goalie
to just look
inside the goal
as if to wonder
'did that ball really just get by me?'
Yes. Yes it did!
