Hanging out with my kids, on museum night, in Downtown Tacoma was fun, mostly.
On the walk the museum they met this statue that stands in front of the old train station.
Its a Federal Courthouse now.
Carlos thought he should try to take the bag with us.
It didn't work.
The staff at the Art Gallery were probably happy to see us leave. Carlos was overly
enthusiastic about everything, and would yell and shriek, letting us all know what was around the corner. We went cause Julian wanted to see 'The Secret Lives of Animals'.
He didn't enjoy it as much as he thought he would.
Truth be told, Carlos was the only one that really enjoyed it.
I'm still trying to explain to him the dog that was there.
That had visited the taxidermist. :/
When we were done there we went to The Museum of Glass.
On the way we stopped to watch the train.
Behind the Courthouse.
Carlos discovered the water/glass art at the entrance of the museum.
He spent some time touching it, and giggling.
Water flows down the glass, cold water, and he loved splashing it.
Once he was sufficiently wet we headed into the museum.
Julian was mostly bored there.
Carlos thought it was great. The Native American movie with the dancers was
a favorite of his. Looking at the wooden carvings was fun too.
He mostly liked sitting in the chairs in the hot shop though, and watching
glass be blown and shaped into a fish.
Julian kept telling me he was bored. But until the fish was done
we were staying. Carlos loved it.
On the way out he had to go back to the water art, but not just to play.
He also had to get a drink.
Yuck.
I know.
Boys!
And this little boy, got another little boy doing the same thing.
I don't think HIS mom was overly impressed.
She wasn't taking pics, like this crazy mama.
