My best friend and I, we go way back. We have the same sense of humor, enjoy each others company and can laugh at nearly anything. Zon Defe, Carol! Oh wait, she is MY best friend but I am not HER best friend. I was .. then Julian grew up and started talking and I was ditched for my kid. But I still love her and she knows it.
Because of my overflowing love for my BFF my grandma made her a gift, from the boys. A hat and scarf set in the color she requested. Pink! I teased my grandma a bit and wanted to know just where my set was. I mean, how fair is it that every kid she knows got a scarf for Christmas last year and my BFF got a hat/scarf set and I got NOTHIN'! I'll tell you how fair .. not fair at all! So, my grandma happy to please her 'kids'. Yeah, still classified as a kid to her, but that is okay. Anyway, Friday she handed over my hat and scarf. She says its cream, it could be yellow. Who knows, but its soft and I love it. The hat, well the hat is ok, just not really my style I suppose. But I'll wear it, otherwise my head might get cold. :)
A couple hours after I got my set my grandma called and asked that Carol and I take a picture together for her. Well, picture time with us is really .. well .. challenging. You could ask the photographer, but he's 5 and wants to talk more about the wii than his picture taking skills. In fact when we asked for just one more picture we were met with a sigh, an eye roll and "Can't I just play the wii?" So one more picture it was, then one more, and he quit on us. What you see is what you (rather, Grandma) gets! We do look good, dontchya think?

I know how you feel Melissa. MY best friend is apparently getting ready to ditch ME for some Kindergarten hottie. This BFF buisness is complicated.
ReplyDeleteAnd we look good? No. We look scary... But even I admit that was fun.
The pictures look so cute and looks like you two had fun! The sets are beautiful and look so soft! How sweet of your grandmother.
